The alarm was sounded at eleven in the morning, the day after Eggsy visited.

The alarms should have gone off before then, but Harry had hacked the machines, pulling and stripping wires and looping the feedback back into itself so there was no sign that he was no longer connected.

He had borrowed clothes by picking his way through the hospital, acquiring one item after another, cards and pass codes and by the time he left, he was dressed and had loose cash, a pilfered phone from a wanker who refused to turn it off and said wanker's credit card, which he used to withdraw the maximum he could and then tossed.

With more CCTV than any other city in the world, he then vanished off the grid.

By the time Eggsy was brought in by Merlin at quarter past midday, Merlin was waiting for another ping from a new internet cafe, the various footage of Harry's escape running behind him, being analysed by technicians for any hints.

"He realised he'd been made and vanished from the last internet cafe in under two minutes. He was off the cameras again within five. You're being authorised to locate and bring in Galahad, before he becomes a target or, worse, gives himself a stroke."

"That's a start. What I am, after all," he said, figuring jokes would be helpful. "Good, and we'll keep you here. Even if I have to fight for that," he said, meaning it. He would. He knew now, he needed Henry here.

"I saw... I saw it, without the pathc. I..." He shook his head, bowing his head as he bit at his lip. Taking a breath, pulling himself back together as he raised his head, lifted his gaze.

"As I recall, it is your morning preference, right?"

Harry laid his right hand on Eggsy's knee, squeezing and leaving it there. "It's quite ugly, I know. And rather shocking. But it looks far worse than it is. I even still have the eye, which I've been assured was a small miracle on its own."

He nodded. "I believe it is, yes. We must have been quite close for you to be aware of that."

Oh but that made him smile, unable to help himself at that touch. "Ugly? Where the bloody hell did you get that word?" He rolled his eyes, giving him a look. "Never a word that came to my mind," he said, shaking his head.

"Nope, not like that. It's my job though, right? Watch and observe and learn?" Except that wasn't it. It was him being the stalker that he was about everything Harry liked, because he liked Harry.

"I have seen my injuries, you know. The wound itself is quite ugly at the moment. Horrific, even." He sipped his tea. "Really? It came to mind when I saw it. I might not be a young man, but I think I'm rather handsome one still and those wounds are quite detracting at present."

Harry was a bit vain. He'd realised that fairly quickly and accepted it.

"Is it? I'll take your word for it, I'm still not entirely sure what is done by whom here." He sipped again, relaxing into his pillows. "I am scheduled to spend large parts of today inside various machines having my head scanned. I hope you have something more entertaining planned."

"Yeah well, I'm the young man looking at you and ugly is not the word that comes to mind, okay?" He made a face, rolling his eyes at that and knowing that time he was being downright obvious. "Besides, you took it in the field. War wound. Whoever you set your heart on will find you handsome and see it as a sign of honor," he said, making a face. What the hell was he even talking about?

"Yeah well, there's other stuff in there." None of it stalking the guy he fancied. Nope. Not that.

Eggsy shrugged. "Get ordered to take a nap. Take JB for a walk. Mock Roxy's poodle. Normal shit," he said, as if he wasn't a secret agent and could be sent on a mission at any moment.

Interesting.

His fingers pushed slowly to rub the inside of Eggsy's knee, nothing inappropriate but definitely intimate. Maybe even suggestively. He didn't watch his hand, keeping his focus on the conversation and his tea.

"You should try and get some rest. You look quite pale and tired. You should let me have your mp3 player for while I'm in my scans and you can sleep here until I come back." Perfectly casual.

Not even fair, Harry Hart! Not fair. Because Eggsy had dreamt of these things, and maybe even fantasized but never thought he would have this. Not like this.

He was quiet, considering that before he nodded, swallowing hard against the suddenly dry mouth.

"Sure. That works for me," he said with a nod. "Thanks."

Harry gave Eggsy a warm smile and squeezed his knee again, fingers lingering before he moved his hand away, nursing his cup of tea and saucer. "You do need a few hours of sleep. You look exhausted, dear boy. Very well polished, but exhausted. Go and get your mp3 player and by the time you get back, you can get some sleep."

Right. Thinking. Planning. Anything but focusing on the way the heat of Harry's fingers seemed to burn into his skin. Fuck, this was just confusing the hell out of him, and he didn't want it to stop.

"Being here is more important, but thanks," he said, smiling at being called polished by Harry. "Be right back," he said, moving away reluctantly, pulling his jacket straight and heading out to get the the player.

He wasn't long, pausing to make sure JB was good and fed, and then heading back with the player in hand.

While he was gone, Harry finished his tea and got wrapped up in a kingsman robe, enjoying the feel of familiar slippers on his feet and leaning on the edge of his bed.

A nurse waited outside his room with a wheelchair, giving Eggsy a smile and nod as he came back and through.

Harry flashed another smile at Eggsy. "Good. Now, don't sleep in that suit, you'll wrinkle it and it's not that comfortable to sleep in, I'll be back when my scans are finished."

They weren't alone and he was careful as he moved to press the player into Harry's hand. "Hope it doesn't drive you too mad," he teased, making the same jokes that Eggsy often did, wanting to amuse him before he had to deal with all of these tests.

"And promise. I would never ruin the suit. Please. I was taught better than that."

By the very man he was smiling at, wanting to hug.

Harry gave him a warm smile, a brief hug and then went to the door, letting the nurse help him into the wheelchair and wheel him off.

When he said he had some scans, what he meant was he was going to be spending up to an hour at a time inside CT Scanners, having ultrasounds over his stab wounds, various x-rays checking his pins and internal surgeries and generally having his entire body documented into the Kingsman servers.

He slept for some it. He listened to Eggsy's music without judgement.

He was returned to his room hours later. He dismissed the nurse and slipped back into his room.

The hug just seemed to burn through the jacket. All he had fancied Harry since he showed up at the station, Eggsy had never thought he would have a single thing that made him believe that Harry could feel the same. Now though, now he had to consider.

Taking careful time to hang up his jacket on the back of the chair, and then folding his trousers, he left his shoes and socks under the edge of the bed and curled up in his white tea and boxers that were brightly colored and paisley.

Curling up in Harry's bed, he wrapped his arms around the pillow, hugging it tightly to him. His eyes closed, inhaling a scent he knew, and sighing softly. He hadn't thought he would sleep, but it wasn't long before he passed out. Still asleep when Harry came back.

Harry was quiet letting himself in to the room. It was a single bed, which was what deterred him from just climbing back into bed behind Eggsy and curling around him.

He wondered if his old self had had the same feelings. He suspected he did, which begged the question of why he had done nothing about the obvious attraction.

He came to sat on the side of the bed, stroking the young man's temple softly, not trying to wake him.

At first Eggsy didn't even move. Then, making a soft sound, he shifted. Wriggling in closer, burying his face against Harry's hip. Not quite letting the pillow go, not really aware he wasn't alone.

It felt good though, delicate and soft and he settled in with a sigh. Murmuring in his sleep, one word clear in that soft, babbling voice. Harry.

Harry didn't try to wake him still, just settling his hand along the strong jaw and curling around the back of his head, thumb still stroking his temple softly.

He fitted one of the earbuds back into his ear and started the music again. He could happily sit here and wait for Eggsy to wake on his own. And when the screen flashed a brief really, Galahad? he just flicked up two fingers to the camera and ignored it.

That touch made him settle, breath soft and shallow, his arm moving to settle along what he thought was the pillow but was curling his hand against Harry's thigh.

Unaware of what was going on. Or even being watched. Not until he shifted, rolling further into the form next to him. And realizing he wasn't alone, that wasn't a pillow.

"Hmmm?" Lifting his head, blinking up, bleary eyed. "H-Harry?" Some secret agent, coming to all sleepy and drowsy and not even worried. If someone had wanted him dead, he would be.

Harry had his visible eye closed, head nodding slightly in time to the music. He moved his hand down to rub over Eggsy's back slowly, down his spine and back up again, not a tease, not at all paternal.

"Just me," he agreed softly. "You can go back to sleep if you need."

Oh that felt good though. And he was putting together what was going on. Harry was there, holding him while he slept. Whoa. This was... God, this was good.

"Mmmm, don't wanna," he murmured, trying not to be obvious in wriggling a tiny bit closer. "You okay? I can move if you need to rest."

"I slept through a couple of my scans." His fingers came up his spine, along his neck and then back down again. Never dipping too low to be indecent, but still a bit suggestive at the small of his back. "You're fine. Relax, let yourself wake up slowly. I think it's been a while since you had a good rest and lay in feeling safe."

He shifted then, arching slightly, catlike and content with that touch as his eyes nearly closed, lashes nearly brushing against his cheeks. "Good. You need your rest," he said, meaning it. Not worrying about his own. Not with all he's been through and just kept going. He would rather worry about Harry.

"Don't got time for that normally. Training, missions, JB, making Roxy think two steps ahead. No time for lay ins and rest," he murmured, blinking, looking up at Harry. "And don't need rest. You ain't dead."

"Shh." The only way he was going to stay was if Harry encouraged him to. "Just stay. Relax. You don't have any assignments, all you need to do is stay here for a while with me."

Clearly, helping Harry recover his memory and rehabilitate should be Eggsy's main job right now. And in this moment, that meant laying in bed while Harry sat with him.

"Mm, yessir," he murmured softly, smiling sleepily even as he slid his arm more firmly over his lap, snuggling in against his hip. "Right here then. Mmm, I can do that," he said, letting himself try and relax and not think about who could walk in... or was watching.

"You sure you're okay me laying here? I can sleep in the chair," he offered, trying at least to be the Kingsman he was and not the smitten boy he could be.

"You're fine there." His hand drifted to Eggsy's hair again, stroking it back gently, calloused fingers smooth through it.

"I've been alone for some time now. I find I'm rather enjoying having some company with me, even if one of us is asleep. It's pleasant, knowing someone else is there." And then his finger traced Eggsy's jaw and down his throat. "You look younger asleep."

"I like being here." It was being honest, too sleepy to lie. Then that caress and his eyes closed again, smiling. He could do this all damn day, and nothing was going to make him move unless Harry kicked him out or Merlin came in barking orders. And the second may not do it.

"I wish I hadn't left you alone," he murmured, closing his eyes tighter. "I'm sorry, but I'm here Harry and only work will drag me outta here, and then I'll be right back. Promise."

He was so caught up in the sweetness of it, he couldn't help a soft gasp at that touch, mewling without a thought. Then he winced. "That is probably not a good thing, huh?" Maybe he was misreading that touch, imagining things in his needy state.
